Chris Curry is the founder, President/CEO of So You Want To Be A Star, Inc. which provides singing classes and artist development workshops. We specialize in providing the amateur performer, as well as the seasoned professional, the necessary skills in lyrical interpretation, harmony, audience, camera awareness, effective staging, choreography, interviewing techniques, show business management and more, creating and cultivating a more polished and effective performer.

A former student, Landau Eugene Murphy Jr; is the 2011 grand prize winner of NBC-TV’s “America’s Got Talent”.


Chris Curry has performed with recording stars “Ray, Goodman & Brown / The Moments”, Gene Viale and  The James Cleveland Singers, The Gospel Shields  and has produced numerous events for Isaac Hayes. He also assisted in the creation of “R/B Fridays” for 98.7 Kiss FM Radio Station’s summer concerts at The World Trade Center, as well as co-writing their extremely popular station ID jingle “Kissing You With Our Classic Love”; performed by Patti LaBelle, Luther Vandross, Gerald Levert and many others.


He is the creator/producer of the “Living Legend Tribute” segment of the Harlem Summer Stage Concert Series. He’s responsible for honoring Hal Jackson, Patti LaBelle, The O’Jays, Keith Sweat and is looking forward to doing the same for Quincy Jones, Nancy Wilson, Ashford & Simpson, Aretha Franklin, Little Richard, Harry Belafonte, Roberta Flack, George Clinton and others in the future.


Chris, a native of Jamaica, Queens, New York has recently completed recording his second CD entitled “Jammin’ On The Mic” LIVE with Chris Curry & Friends”. It features Gerald Alston of The Manhattans, Alyson Williams, Ray, Goodman & Brown, GQ, Capone, James “D train” Williams, Meli’sa Morgan, Blue Magic, Brent Carter, Traviso Milner and others. His current projects include recording a “Stop The Violence” CD, writing a suspense drama screenplay and a textbook entitled “So You Want To Be A Star”.
